How account deletion works

Last updated: 24 October 2026

You can permanently delete your Conect account from within the app. Deletion removes your profile and connected activity from the active Conect database and removes associated profile photos from storage when the deletion process completes successfully. Shared conversations and all their attachments are removed for both participants, including attachments sent by the other person; the other person's independent profile and gallery remain.

Delete your account

  1. Open Conect inside the Telegram account associated with your profile.
  2. Go to More → Settings & help.
  3. Select Delete account permanently.
  4. Read the confirmation, then type DELETE when prompted.

Do not proceed unless you are sure. The action is permanent and cannot be undone.

What is deleted?

The current deletion workflow removes the profile, profile photos and photo records, interests, swipes/likes, matches, messages associated with those matches, blocks, profile visits and reports linked to the account. It also removes every attachment in conversations being deleted, including videos or voice notes sent by the other participant. Other members’ independent profiles and profile galleries remain intact, but the shared conversation and its media are removed.

What may remain temporarily?

Backups, security logs or provider-level copies may not be erased at the exact same moment as live records. The operator must verify provider backup/log retention periods and explain any legally required retention before public launch. The current implementation deletes reports linked to the account; moderation evidence-retention rules still need a final decision.

Deletion errors:

If the app reports a deletion failure, do not assume the account has been fully removed. Some photo files or database records may already have been deleted even if a later cleanup step fails. Contact the Conect operator using the official support/privacy contact once it is published.

Before launch

The operator must publish a working support/privacy contact and confirm backup/log retention and the treatment of safety reports. See the Privacy Policy.
